Editorial Policy
How we research, write, review, update, and correct our articles.
Our standards
- Accuracy first: claims are checked against reliable sources before publication.
- Original writing: articles are written in our own words; sources are credited, never copied.
- Clear sourcing: statistics, quotes, and key facts link to their sources where the format allows.
- No invented authority: we do not claim expert review, independent fact-checking panels, or professional credentials we do not have.
- Reader-first clarity: jargon is explained; headlines describe the article honestly.
Research and writing
Writers consult primary sources where possible (official documentation, published research, reputable reporting) and prefer multiple corroborating sources for contested or fast-moving topics.
Review process
Drafts are reviewed for factual accuracy, clarity, and tone before publication. Articles that cannot be verified to our standard are not published.
Updates
Evergreen guides are reviewed periodically. When an article is materially updated, the “Updated” date shown on the page reflects the latest revision.
Corrections
Errors are corrected promptly and transparently under our Corrections Policy. Significant corrections are noted on the article itself.
AI assistance
We may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, or editing. Every published article is reviewed by a human editor who takes responsibility for its content.
Advertising and independence
Editorial content is written independently of any advertising. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled as such.
